Nayantara’s Xmas was in Bangkok during Xmas. She had plans to come to her native place in Kottayam to be with her niece Angelina for Xmas. Her brother and his wife had called on her in Chennai for her birthday and promised to send across their kid daughter to their ancestral house for Xmas. Nayantara however said that her first priority was films and for Xmas she was not willing to change the dates. She said that as a daughter of an Air force officer, she had celebrated Xmas in various cities and the best place was Gujarat where she stayed for six long years. At home she takes charge of cleaning the house and putting up the star. “I take lot of money from my father to buy chocolate cakes, my favourite,” said Nayantara whose Kalvanin Kadhali is scheduled for release in January.

Gopika’s Christmas release was Tiger opposite Suresh Gopi. She plays the role of a TV reporter. Gopika remembers her first Christmas when she was 7 years old. Her father was working in Saudi Arabia and only her mother and her sister was with her. On Christmas day, they were surprised when the local baker walked in with a big packet. They did not tell her what was in the packet. They found that it was a big cake and was ordered by her father in Saudi. She makes it a point to stop shooting three days before Christmas and come to her house to be with her parents and sister. “I regret that now I cannot roam about the town and make merry since I am recognized by the public,” laments Gopika.
