When Mallu heroines are moving towards Tamil and willing to strip for the good money, Gopika is different. She was offered an item song in Ajit film Tirupathi directed by Perarasu and produced by AVM. She was horrified and said a firm “no”. She has lot of big banners in Kerala and so she felt that her glamorous innings in Tamil would affect her image. She said that her song in Kana Kandain had got her bad publicity in Kerala.

Actress Nitya Das, who made her entry in Kollywood with Ponmeghalai a couple of years ago, is banking on the pivotal role opposite Shaam in her next Tamil venture Manadodu Mazhaikalam, a romantic entertainer. She says, 'I would like to be known as an actress who can do both glamour and performance roles with ease.’ Dilip will play the lead role of a youth who runs a college canteen in the film directed by Jose Thomas. The film, produced by Aroma Mani, has story and script by Suresh Pothuval. The shooting of the film will begin once Dilip completes Pachakuthira, the Sathyan Anithcaud film.

Nayantra's has fast climbed to stardom in Tamil and Telugu film industry. She is getting offers in both languages. With this high profile, she says she is also getting offers to feature in many commercials. But Nayan refuses outright to feature in commercials. She explained, 'I am so very busy in silver screen that I hardly find time to concentrate on brand endorsements. Moreover, my fans want to see me only on the big screen. Hence I am not keen to act in commercials.'

Nayantara’s skin show and performance have made her popular in Tamil films and she is busy with many films on hand. Even though her role in Raapagal was much appreciated, Nayan is no longer interested in coming back to Malayalam movies at present, waiting for meaty roles that challenge her histrionic talents. We miss you Nayan! Return to your home-state soon!

Glamour queen Rambha is all set to do her last film in Malayalam. Right now, she is doing a movie Red with Kalabhavan Mani in the role of an action heroine. Napoleon and Rajan P Dev have strong supporting roles, and Haridas is the director. Having ruled the roost in Kollywood and Tollywood for many years, it is rumoured that Rambha is all set to tie the knot, in which case this could very well be her last movie. Is this true or just another rumour? Only Rambha knows.

Urvashi is not new to TV, having already hosted a comedy talk show on a Tamil TV channel. Now, she is going to present a game show on Malayalam satellite TV channel for the first time.

Radhika Sharat Kumar’s TV production company Radaan TV successfully runs a Tamil game show on Sun TV, named ‘Thanga Vettai’ which Ramya Krishnan hosts. Within the first two weeks of its launch, the show managed to get a huge TRP rating. Radhika now plans to run the Malayalam version of the show on Surya TV, with Urvashi as the compere. 

Radhika also plans to conduct the show in Telugu, this version being presented by herself.

Other popular heroines are also comperes for game shows on TV. This sure is a great alternate career for them!
