Telugu actress Laya is to be the second heroine in Mohanlal’s Mahasamudram. Laila plays the lead role, Telugu actress Veda was planned to be the second heroine, but now Laya has been signed. The second schedule will be over in February. The film is slated for a Vishu release. This is Laya's fourth film in Malayalam, after Thommanum Makkalum, Alice in Wonderland and Udayon.

No kissing: Meera Jasmine
